Plastic Strapping Machines

Function of Strappers:  Plastic strapping machines are used to quickly apply polypropylene or polyester strapping around various types of products.  Polypropylene strapping is the strap most commonly used in the typical strapper.  The machines usually create a heat seal, whereby the overlapped ends of the strapping are welded together by means of a hot blade.  A friction weld is used by some manufacturers.  Products which are commonly strapped in strapping machines include:  bundles of paper, corrugated, moldings, and other goods, boxes, products wrapped in corrugated, wooden components, letter trays, and countless other items.

Types of Strappers:  Strapping machines run the range of simple, operator fed semi-automatic machines, to fully automated, high speed models, on up to fully automated in-line pallet strappers.  This site contains information on some common off-the-shelf models which are readily available from stock, or with short lead times.  Featured below are semi-automatic strappers and automatic strappers.
