Stretch Wrappers

Types of Stretch Wrappers:

Platform (turntable) style:  This type is the most common.  A pallet of product is placed onto a turntable using a fork lift or pallet jack.  Once started, the film is spiraled around the pallet by the simultaneous rotation of the turntable and the lifting of the film on a tower.  There are lots of variations and options available for this style of wrapper, including: high or low profile turntable, powered pre-stretch, automatic top and bottom wrap counters, various levels of automation, amount of weight that can be held, production speeds, etc.  All-Star Packaging has a machine available for most any application.

Overhead (Rotary Tower):  This is a style which is growing in popularity.  It functions in the opposite manner as a turntable style.  The pallet is presented to the wrapper by placing it on the floor (or on a conveyor) under the rotating arm.  Film is applied by the arm rotating around the pallet.  The film rides up and down the vertical member of the rotating arm.  Many fully automated system utilize this method of wrapping.

Orbital (Ring Wrapper):  This design is intended for wrapping around the top, bottom and two sides of a pallet.  It is ideal for bundling of lumber, pipe, block, windows, doors, and other applications.
